United Kingdom is composed of Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland and Great Britain is comprised of Scotland, Wales and England. It is easier for us to say UK and we identify our mantra as “Key to your distinct Scotland, Wales, UK and Ireland Adventures”. However, it is important to know the difference and reference the accurate description. We have a passion for the United Kingdom and Ireland and know our clients do as well or will be so after they have visited our wonderful destination.
Britain preserves its traditions and offers not only the stately castles and pretty villages it also offers a diversity of culture, literature, art, architecture, music, as well as its unique heritage. Britain balances its rich history and unique past with our present. For a small island, Great Britain encompasses a surprising variety in its regions, whose inhabitants maintain distinct identities. Scotland, Wales, and Great Britain all have unique customs, traditions, and in the case of Scotland its own government and educational system.
We here in the United States value our connection with the United Kingdom. Although we fought and won independence the connection between our people and nation is undeniable. We are family and that is how we feel about our brothers and sisters in Great Britain. We believe you will see and feel our connection with every visit you make and hope you make many visits.
If you only have a short time to visit the United Kingdom and since most international flights go through London you might want to consider it to be the first stop. London is small in comparison to some of our major US cities but that’s what makes it so much fun and easy to get around. The public transportation system is wonderful, you can rent a Barclay Cycle to get around or just walk in town and actually feel safe. The history, just in London is mind expanding, the architecture both old and new are breathtaking, streets and underground secrets to explore, museums, theaters, and even major sporting events like Wimbledon are a must see and do. Even if you are just passing through London on a connection flight one should really consider taking advantage and stop for a couple of days to enjoy which ever wonderful experience you can in London.
Should you be able to spend a week or more in the United Kingdom we suggest you compartmentalize your visit. You cannot see it all in one week or even two, so resign yourself to the idea that you will have to go back for further exploration, especially after your first trip you will be hooked and want to see more. We need to determine your main theme for your trip and then customize around that.
Anywhere you go in the United Kingdom you will be enriched with breathtaking landscape, great for photographers. Architecture, history, favorite writers, location of many famous novels and movies, music history both in classical, rock, and modern pop is in the United Kingdom to soak up from and gain inspiration.
We hope you will include us in your adventure to Great Britain we know you will have a wonderful experience. Call to schedule an appointment or select one of our established tours which we can customize to your interests.
