Scotland, Wales, UK and Ireland
Lets face it, when you think of Golf you think of Scotland, Wales, UK and Ireland. Ever dreamed about golfing in Scotland, Wales, UK, and Ireland but you are not sure where to begin or you do but want to add extra features like your own driver guide who happens to be a PGA Champion who knows the courses well and can give you a few tips to help improve your game? What about adding some fantastic sites to see and things to do while you are not golfing and enjoy the wonderful local culinary experiences? Interested in attending the British Open or have a group of golfers that want to start their own group championship event? We have answers and solutions for you.
What better place to Golf than where it all began, in Scotland! From Dumfries in the South to the Shetlands in the North. Machrie in the West to St. Andrews in the East, you will find that Scotland is a country that emanates the history, culture, a plethora of golf course designs, and landscape that lives and breathes the game of Golf.
With golf played in Scotland for over 600 years we can rightly claim Scotland as “the home of golf”. So it is not unusual to find Scotland is the first choice of our Golf clients to visit in the United Kingdom. What would be unusual would be if it were to remain a once in a life time experience when there is so much to see and do and most of the real treasures that Scotland holds will only be found within the first visit and every subsequent visit. The variety of courses and diversity in locations provides various and distinct challenges as well as wonderful adventures for everyone, young, men, women, families, experienced golfers, beginner golfers, and those that would like to golf one of Scotland’s many designer courses. One might want to consider Island Hopping, as is known among the golf adventurous locals. Perhaps it is the rare opportunity to play a seemingly forgotten gem tucked away in a remote fishing village, or even walk a windswept links set beside a long, sandy beach, Scotland Islands have all the ingredients for a golf experience unlike any other.
Unfairly overshadowed by the courses in Scotland; the links courses south of the border in the UK are more than the equal to their Scottish neighbors. There are about 2,500 golf courses in Britain to explore. When planning your English Golf Tour you do have to consider regionalizing your vacation. For example in the North West: Royal Lytham, Royal Birkdale and Royal Liverpool. In the South East : Royal St Georges, Royal Cinque Ports and Princess.
The Wales Tourist Board have used the tag line “golf as it should be” to great effect in their marketing literature over the past few years. They hosted the Ryder Cup in 2006 at the Celtic Manor Resort. Wales has over 200 Courses to select from. You will find some Golf courses in valleys surrounded by snow-capped mountains, others alongside some of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. Playing golf in Wales has been likened to playing on an aircraft carrier or a links course in the sky and many other venues besides.
Early indications are that Golf in Ireland will be significantly up compared to previous years as golfers go in search of courses set among high dunes and wind swept beaches. These are the visions conjured up when golfers discuss an Irish Golf Vacation to the Emerald Isle and you will not be disappointed when you eventually get here.
