March of 2013 began a new exciting change in the form of our new name Orion Celtic Expeditions.  We felt it was a logical change to better reflect our business model, Key to your distinct Scotland, Wales, UK and Ireland Adventures.  It is our area of expertise, specialty, and passion for which we believe the new name clearly reflects.

We began our company as ORION CRUSADES which opened in Scotts Valley California in 1998, then relocated to Colchester CT in 2005 and finally returned to California in 2015. We have 20 years of unique specialized travel industry experience and it has been a wonderful adventure we enjoy sharing with all our clients.

Meet Ana, Your UK and Ireland Elite Specialist

There I was lying down on the grass next to Tantallon Castle looking up at the awe inspiring architecture and wondering how it was built, the grand stature and defense it provided was clearly imbued by the grand stronghold of clan power, history and beauty.  This was my first experience to Scotland on my own and my inspirational moment that this is my calling, this is where my heart is, this is what I want to share with the world.   The grass around the Castle was like walking on carpet or fine Golf Course green. Really, how do they get the lawn to look so manicured and feel luxurious, it was perfect?  The Castle ruins are located off the East Lothian cliff coast with breathtaking views overlooking the North Sea.  I could hear the sound of the sea crashing against the cliffs nearby, I was breathing in the crisp sea air, and the sight of the beautiful blue sky with white fluffy clouds above brought everything alive and vibrant.  Seriously the colors in Scotland, UK and Ireland are always rich, brisk and flourishing.  Anyways, I was so in awe at the site that I have never forgotten what it looked or felt like, a truly unexpected experience that to this day I can still sense and see.  These moments were only a speck in time but they became my inspiration and treasured memories that are still every bit alive and vivid.

These were a few treasured memories that inspired me to not only have more of in my life but to provide these types of moments for others and encourage them off the beaten path.  Because, everyone should experience the magic and beauty of the UK and Ireland at least once.  Everyone should have the opportunity to dream and imagine the possibilities. And everyone should have a bucket full of treasured memories.
